Through Parents as Teachers, you’ll be matched with a Family Support Specialist. They’ll meet with you monthly, in the comfort of your own home (or another location you prefer), to provide:

Fun activities you can do as a family

Developmental screenings

Resources for your child’s development (sleep, nutrition, milestones, social emotional regulation, etc.)

Resources for you as a caregiver (goal setting, mental health, family safety, etc.)

Stephanie Ghormley
Regional Coordinator
Originally from the Black Hills in South Dakota, Stephanie earned bachelor’s degrees in both Human Services and Sociology from Black Hills State University in 2007. While earning her degrees, Stephanie worked a variety of different jobs, ranging from hostess at a restaurant, to manager of a jewelry store.
After graduation, Stephanie began her role as case manager for a non-profit that works with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses. She stayed there until 2013, when her husband took a teaching position on the Wind River Indian Reservation and she transitioned to a new role as a stay-at-home mom. In 2016, she began working for Wyoming Parents as Teachers.
Stephanie loves that Wyoming Parents as Teachers is a strengths-based program, and that she has the ability to come alongside caregivers and empower them to be the best parents/caregivers they can be for their children. She has been married for 16 years and has five children, as well as had many foster children over the years.
Outside of work, Stephanie loves to spend time with her chickens and dogs, go camping and fishing, and attend her children’s many sporting events.
