Chavely Cruz Cardenas
Bilingual Family Support Specialist,
Hello! My name is Chavely Cruz Cardenas. I am a bilingual Family Support Specialist for Parents as Teachers. I am very excited to be part of this wonderful program. I am originally from Cuba. I have been living in Wyoming for more than seven years. I have an Associates Degree inPre-Medicine from Casper College and I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Wyoming. My goal in life is to be a family doctor and help families to get involved in the community. I volunteer in the English as a Second Language program at Casper College because I like to help people to succeed in life. I gained experience working with families through shadowing a doctor at the University of Wyoming Family Practice Clinic. I have always had a passion for science since I was a child. It is amazing to know how the brain works as a system along with the rest of the body to develop new skills as we grow up. My favorite part of work is seeing the success of children as they reach their full potential on each stage of development. Being part of this program has given me the opportunity of being a supporter of the cognitive, emotional, motor and language children’s development as they grow up. This program helps parents to get a better understanding of the stages of their children’s development, to get the families involved in the community and provides them with information and resources for the well-being of the family. My favorite part of work is seeing the success of children as they reach their full potential on each stage of development.
