Through Parents as Teachers, you’ll be matched with a Family Support Specialist. They’ll meet with you monthly, in the comfort of your own home (or another location you prefer), to provide:

Fun activities you can do as a family

Developmental screenings
-
Resources for your child’s development (sleep, nutrition, milestones, social emotional regulation, etc.)

Resources for you as a caregiver (goal setting, mental health, family safety, etc.)

Cami Trekell
Family Support Specialist
Cami earned her bachelors degree at the University of Wyoming for Elementary Education, specializing in diversity and sign language.
​
Born and raised in Rock Springs, Cami moved to Laramie to finish college, then to Jackson to teach before ultimately moving back to Rock Springs to be close to family. She’s worked as a Title I Paraprofessional, taught kindergarten, and has made an adventure of earning her Early Childhood certificate to teach at a preschool center.
​
In addition to spending quality time with family, Cami’s hobbies include going outdoors in all seasons and exploring, traveling, and making memories that will last a lifetime!

Jennifer Carr
Family Support Specialist
Originally from Indiana, Jennifer transplanted to Wyoming 8 years ago. She earned her BS in Secondary Education from Indiana University and BA in Mass Communications from Auburn University.
For the past 20 years, Jennifer has worked with children and families off and on. She’s passionate about supporting the entire family and matching them to resources they need, all while seeing the children learn and grow.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two kids, traveling, bowling, tending to her extensive collection of plants, and cooking for family and friends.
